What you will learn: Students are trained in shop safety, service fundamentals, repair order writing, repair-time calculations, service information retrieval, and professionalism. Students will perform hands-on tasks that include, but are not limited to, learning how to perform vehicle inspections, replace all the fluids in the vehicle, repair suspension system components–such as axles and struts–change water pumps, operate coolant and transmission flush machines, repair tires, and perform basic brake system repairs.
Courses: UAUT 101: Automotive Maintenance; UAUT 105: Light Line Maintenance; UPHI 149: Critical Thinking
Duration: 12 weeks; minimum of 20-25 hours per week for lab, lecture, homework, reading & projects.
