About:
The CODAC Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) offers no-cost support – including resources, case management, counseling, therapy, and psychiatry – for adults who are having acute post-traumatic distress due to experiencing a violent crime and who don’t have access to mental health care.
Eligibility: adults (ages 18+), people who were the direct victim/survivor or secondary survivor (witnesses, loved ones) of a violent crime within the past three years, exceptions to the timeframe may be made for homicide survivors and others still experiencing acute distress.
Examples of violent crime: stabbing, shooting, physical assault, sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence, homicide, vehicular manslaughter, torture, war trauma, others.
Free services include: case management and advocacy, counseling and therapy, psychiatry, help accessing resources for practical needs (food, housing legal, financial), information and support related to victim rights, help getting medical care, virtual, in-home and in-community care, transportation and more!
